We Found a Place!

Sorry I have been MIA for a few days... but this weekend was busy busy busy! The future hubby and I embarked on the home search Friday afternoon. The agent that his mom put us in contact with was absolutely no help! He was a very sweet man but only showed us one house! Instead he simply drove us around, showing us different apartment buildings (even though we told he we were interested in houses). So, Saturday, we had to scramble a bit and went to apartment building after apartment building. We decided on a cute one right by future hubby's new office. It has two full bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and a loft, which I think we are going to make a den/reading area. What I am most excited about is the dishwasher! The house we live in right now does not have one and that has been a bit annoying. There is also a washer and dryer, the only thing I said I HAD to have :) Though all of this has been very stressful I'm looking forward to decorating a new place. The only annoying this is that the kitchen counter tops are a very dark red/burgundy... Since our kitchen here used to be red & black I'll just pull out all of that decorative stuff. I will be sad to see my pink kitchen aid put into the cabinet and my sage green toile/polka dot valances not hung :(. The next quest for me is to find a job! Hopefully, that ill occur sooner than later! Overall, I think the move will be good for us. It is also nice that out building has a pool that we will be able to use, just in time for Summer! I also sent out our wedding invitations yesterday! I know it is a bit early but I'm worried that people are going to take their time responding and so I wanted to safe-guard myself from having to call a week or two before! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Now if only the weather would turn around, then it will truly feel like Spring :)

  1. I love your photos - espcially the pink ones. I'm new to your blog. When is your wedding? After you get married you might check out the web site that Sue Goldstein - underground shopper has talkd about to find good the best on line prices - www.startyourclicking.com.

Till then you might check my blog page. I'm into still life photography and today I posted an image I did a few years ago of a friend's next door neighbor's peonies. She let me take some peonies home - the posted image is just one that I did.

  3. Good luck with your home search. I just closed on my new house last week but I had to look at almost 45 houses to find the perfect one. Don't get discouraged :-)
